Evaluating and Improving the NOTICE Program

House that needs a little workspacer At our recent Metro Codes Training (Using the Law to Help your Neighborhood), neighbors discussed their experiences with the NOTICE Program, a Codes Department sponsored initiative to train and certify neighborhood groups so that they can identify violations in their neighborhood and cut through some of the red tape involved in the reporting process.  (NOTICE stands for Neighbors Organized To Initiate Codes Enforcement, see http://www.nashville.org/codes/services_notice.html.)

Residents suggested that we need to have a collaborative evaluation session with Codes and neighbors to discuss what works well with the NOTICE Program and what areas are in need of improvement.  That session has been scheduled for Monday, June 29th at 6:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room at Coleman Park, located at 384 Thompson Lane on the corner of Thompson Lane and Nolensville Road.
